Poetry reading in Hallonbergens bibliotek

On December 1st between 14 h and 16.30 h, at the Library of Hallonbergen, Swedish and immigrant language writers unite in a multilingual poetry reading with Arabic, Persian, Spanish and Swedish.

All poems will be read with translations into Swedish and Persian, which is just a small reflection of how much creation, translation, and interchange is happening on the lingüistically diverse literary field in Sweden. To hear a poem in different languages also makes one pay more attention to the soundscape of poetry, and its relationship to meaning.

We are happy to present an interesting and respected group of participating poets:
young talented Kawther AbuHani, who reads her poems for the first time to a Swedish audience; experienced writers and translators Yasim Mohamed, Namdar Nasser, and Magnus William-Olsson, the latter also editors; and poet and cultural activists Roxana Crisólogo, co-coordinator of NolitchX.

The poetry reading is produced by Mahshid Bjurman Sharifian (Hallonbergens bibliotek) and Azita Ghahreman (Tre Tärningar/NolitchX).

Free entrance.
Everyone is welcome and we hope to see you there!
