Know the authors that will be presenting their poems and shorstories at the Mutant Language Nordic Multimedia Literature event organised by Nolitchx as part of the Nordisk Sprogfest.
Azita Ghahreman is one of Iran’s leading poets, she has lived in Sweden since 2006. She is a member of the South Sweden Writers’ Union. She has published collections of poetry and narrative as Eve’s Songs and The Suburb of Crows that was published in both Swedish and Farsi. She is also a translator. Azita will be reading short stories at the Mutant Language Nordic Multimedia Literature Night. Read some of her poems at Nolitch X website.
Mazen Maarouf is a Palestinian-Lebanese writer, poet, translator and journalist. Since 2013, he is a citizen of Iceland and currently resides in Reykjavik. Mazen has published many poetry books and he is also the author of two short story collections: The Rats that Licked the Karate Champion’s Ears and Jokes for the Gunmen, that last December 2016 was awarded the Al Multaqa prize for best Arabic short storie collection and that will be published next year in English, French, Icelandic and Norwegian. Mazen will be reading one of his short stories at the Mutant Language Nordic Multimedia Literature Night. Read one of his stories translated into Icelandic in Nolitch X website.
Kawther AbuHani is a poet, short story author, and blogger. AbuHani is born in Gaza, Palestine, and currently resides in Stockholm, Sweden. She studied Arabic language and literature. Her short stories are taught at Al-Aqsa University in Palestine. Kawther will be reading her poems at the Mutant Language Nordic Multimedia Literature Night. Lucas Ruiz (Spain/Denmark) is a writer, academic and teacher of Spanish and History. Lucas resides in Denmark since 1994. He is the author of the short story collection El esquiador de fondo (2014) that was translated into Danish last year, and the poetry collection Invariablemente (unpublished). Roxana Crisologo Correa is a Peruvian poet living and working in Helsinki, Finland. She has published poetry books, her last collection Rompehielos will be published in German this September. Crisólogo is the founder of the multilingual literature project Sivuvalo. Currently Crisólogo works as coordinator in Finland of literature project Nolitch X Nordic Literatures in Change and Exchange. Roxana will be reading her poems at the Mutant Language Nordic Multimedia Literature Night.
